Skills Training with Coach Mis

Skills Training sessions are designed for young players to build a stronger base of foot skills.  The goal is to create an environment of fun while building the players’ confidence with the ball.  The players will be challenged both individually and in small group work.  The group will be limited to 20 players to assure a quality setting.  Players are asked to bring a soccer ball to every session.
Skills Trainings are conducted by Mis Mrak, the current Technical Director at Jr. Irish Soccer Club.  Mis has over thirty years of experience in youth soccer development across the state and is the current Head Womens' soccer  coach at Holy Cross College.  Mis holds a USSF A license as well as a National Youth License from the NSCAA.  Winter Lessons are open to any youth player regardless of club affiliation.

Midwest Futsal Academy

The goal is to use futsal as a way to develop a players’ technical, tactical, physical and mental ability in a way that increases outdoor soccer performance.  A curriculum will be implemented progressively over the course of the program, emphasizing technical skills and tactical competence, as well as speed, agility, and balance.

We expect that players will see marked improvement in the following areas: ball control, attacking skills, movement off-the-ball, decision-making, passing, balance, athleticism, reflexes, and (for keepers especially) ball-handling, anticipation, playing the angles, challenges, and ball-distribution. Our staff is experienced in both Futsal and the Outdoor game, and provide the highest level of training for the game of Futsal.

Session 2 kicks off this coming Saturday February 3rd! While technical and tactical concepts will continue to be taught, session 2 will allow for much more time to play small sided. Great opportunity to maximize a player’s technical and intelligent play before spring outdoor season.
